Equal Representation on Ethics Committee

Representatives Jones of North Reading, Hill of Ipswich, Ferguson of Holden, Gifford of Wareham, Frost of Auburn and Smola of Warren move to amend the order by striking, in proposed Rule 16, in lines 248, 249 and 250, the following sentence: “The committee shall consist of eleven members, seven of whom shall be appointed by the Speaker, four of whom shall be appointed by the Minority Leader.” and inserting in place thereof the following sentence: “The committee shall consist of 8 members, 4 of whom shall be appointed by the Speaker, 4 of whom shall be appointed by the Minority Leader.”.
