Greyhound Racing

Representatives Hill of Ipswich and Ferguson of Holden move to amend the bill in Section 1, in line 9, by striking out the words, “and greyhound races under said chapter 128C”

and further amend said bill in Section 4 in “Category 2 license” by striking in line 72 the words, “ or (3) a greyhound meeting licensee that conducted simulcast wagering as of 2021 as authorized by law” and striking in line 66 the words “or greyhound racing”.

And by adding after the words “Chapter 12” in line 141 the following, “provided that sports wagering shall not include any sports wagering on dog racing or dog simulcasting”.

And by adding at the end of the bill the following section:-

Section XX. Chapter 128C of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 8 the following section:-

Section 9. Betting or wagering on simulcast dog racing shall not be permitted.

This section shall take effect one month after this bill takes effect.
