Amendment #1071 to H4000

Preservation of America's First Public Beach

Representatives Turco of Winthrop and Giannino of Revere move to amend the bill by adding the following section:

"Section XXXX. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the department of conservation and recreation shall establish a trust fund as authorized pursuant to section 34 of chapter 92 of the General Laws dedicated to the receipt and use of a portion, not less than 50 per cent of the net revenues collected with the Revere Beach Reservation from parking stations installed on or after January 1, 2021 and not less than 50 per cent of the net revenues generated through parking violations within said Revere Beach Reservation; provided further however, that the department shall utilize these trust funds for capital improvements to Revere Beach Reservation, including but not limited to sidewalks, sea walls, pavilions and period lighting fixtures along Revere Beach Boulevard."
