Amendment #1075 to H4000

Spending Accountability on Federal ICE Programs

Mr. Cabral of New Bedford moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:

SECTION XXXX.

(a) the sheriffs, special sheriffs, and deputy sheriffs, subject to chapter 37, shall file a report with the clerks of the house of representatives and senate and with the house and senate committees on ways and means on the cost, revenue, and reimbursement associated with any (i) agreement made pursuant to 8 U.S.C. § 1357(g); and (ii) intergovernmental service agreement for housing federal detainees; and the performance of the functions thereof, for fiscal year 2018, fiscal year 2019, fiscal year 2020, and shall submit said report for fiscal year 2021 on a quarterly basis to begin on October 1, 2021, due not later than 15 days after the last day of the quarter;

(b) the Department of Correction shall file a report with the clerks of the house of representatives and senate and with the house and senate committees on ways and means on the cost, revenue, and reimbursement associated with any (i) agreement made pursuant to 8 U.S.C. § 1357(g); and (ii) intergovernmental service agreement for housing federal detainees; and the performance of the functions thereof, for fiscal year 2018, fiscal year 2019, fiscal year 2020, and shall submit said report for fiscal year 2021 on a quarterly basis to begin on October 1, 2021, due not later than 15 days after the last day of the quarter.
