Custom Processing

Representatives Pignatelli of Lenox and Schmid of Westport move to amend the bill in section 2, in item 2511-0100, in line 22, by inserting after “Fund” the following: “provided further that $600,000 shall expended to provide technical and financial assistance to custom slaughter operations and exempt poultry operations to upgrade to become USDA inspected. No less than $500,000 shall be provided to the operations for related costs including facility improvements, staff training, etc”.
