Amendment #214 to H4000
Food Security Infrastructure Grant Program
Ms. Blais of Sunderland moves to amend the bill in Section 2, in line item 2511-0100, by inserting the following: “provided further, that not less than $30,000,000 shall be expended for the Food Security Infrastructure Grant program; provided, that the appropriation will allocate $25 million to for-profit enterprises, with priority given to farms; and $5 million to nonprofit entities, with priority given to proposals focused on systemic solutions to food insecurity”; and in said item, by striking out the figures “$8,626,466” and inserting in place thereof the figures “$38,626,466”.
