Amendment #599 to H4000

Child Protection Program

Representatives O'Day of West Boylston and Garlick of Needham moves to amend the bill in section 2, in item 0930-0100, by adding at the end thereof the following: "; provided further that not less than $450,000 shall be expended for a hospital-based, comprehensive Child Protection Program at UMass Memorial Medical Center providing 24/7 pediatric abusive injury care, including medical evaluation and diagnosis services in cases of pediatric sexual abuse, sexual assault, physical abuse and neglect; timely health care evaluations and examinations for children entering foster care; training of medical, educational and social service professions regarding physical and mental health issues for victims of abuse." and in said item by striking out the figures "$2,914,443" and inserting in place thereof the figures "$3,364,443"
