Elevator Certification Fees

Mr. Cahill of Lynn moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:

Section XXXX: Section 65 of chapter 143 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2018 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following sentence:-

Should the owner or operator of the elevator contract another entity for the purpose of maintaining the quality of the elevator, all fines due to expired certification shall be assessed to the contracted entity.
