Amendment #716 to H4000

Hospital-Based Violence Intervention

Ms. Miranda of Boston moves to amend the bill in section 2, by inserting after item 4590-1507, the following item: “XXXX-XXXX For hospital-based violence intervention and prevention programs in neighborhoods and municipalities with the highest rates of gun violence in the Commonwealth, provided, that funds shall be used to provide support services for victims of gun violence and their family members; provided further, that not less than $200,000 shall be expended for the Violence Intervention Advocacy Program at Boston Medical Center to expand trauma-informed crisis intervention, case management services, and emergency financial assistance for basic needs, including food, housing, transportation and incidental expenses.
