Amendment #760 to H4000

Cape Cod Hospital

Representatives Peake of Provincetown, Fernandes of Falmouth, Whelan of Brewster, Vieira of Falmouth and Xiarhos of Barnstable move to amend the bill in section 2, in item 4000-0300, by inserting at the end the following: “provided further that in calculating rates of payment for individuals enrolled in MassHealth receiving inpatient and outpatient services at community hospitals providing tertiary level care services and with over 75,000 emergency department visits annually with a weekly average of more than 5,000 for 4 or more consecutive weeks, the executive office shall make a supplemental payment not less than $3,000,000 to each such hospital above base rates to compensate for the disproportionate impact of high seasonal costs for labor, goods and services associated with the summer season that are maintained year round”
