Amendment #803 to H4000

School-based Health Center Funding

Ms. Decker of Cambridge moves to amend the bill in line item 4590-0250 by adding the following language after “youth”: “provided further that $500,000 shall be allocated to the office of school-based health within the department of public health to administer a competitive grant program to eligible school-based health centers in the Commonwealth to ensure their ability to (a) preserve and expand access to pediatric mental health care to address the long-term impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on children, (b) develop innovative approaches to address the ongoing impacts of systemic racism and injustice on children, and (c) create stronger pathways to long-term primary and behavioral health care for children.

And by striking out the figure “$13,709,668” in line item 4590-0250 and putting in place thereof the figure “$14,209,668”;
