House Intern Pipeline Program

Mr. Moran of Lawrence The Director of Employee Engagement shall work with the House Committee on Human Resources and Employee Engagement and make recommendations on the establishment of a House Intern Pipeline Program that encourages diverse and traditionally underserved student populations to participate and seek employment opportunities in public service.

 

Provided further, the program shall seek to promote inclusive and diverse participation and exposure to long-term employment opportunities in the public service sector.

 

Provided further, recommendations shall include, but not be limited to: pathways for students to earn credits at public and private higher education intuitions; options for establishing paid internships; program parameters and prerequisites; and professional development opportunities; provided further, the director shall consult with relevant stakeholders in developing these recommendations.

The House Committee on Human Resources and Employee Engagement, in consultation with the director, shall report its recommendation to the House by XXX  . . . . . . . . . $50,000
