Amendment #888 to H4000

No Interest Loan (NIL) Pandemic Late Fees

Mr. Scanlon of North Attleborough moves to amend the bill in section 2, in item 7066-0000, in line 39, by inserting after "accountability" the following: "; provided further that not less than $70,000 shall be provided to the Office of Student Financial Assistance for the purposes of providing no interest loan program borrowers an account credit for any past due fees assessed from March 10, 2020 to September 30, 2021, and for the Office of Student Financial Assistance to forgo the collection of any past due fees on no interest loans until after September 30, 2021"; and in said item by striking out the figures "$3,502,288" and inserting in place thereof the figures "$3,572,288".
