Amendment #921 to H4000

Relative to the MassHealth Delivery System Reform Trust Fund

Mr. Puppolo of Springfield moves to amend the bill in section 32 by striking out the section in its entirety and inserting in its place the following:-

SECTION 32. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the secretary of health and human services shall, not later than June 30, 2022, make available $40,000,000 from the MassHealth Delivery System Reform Trust Fund established in section 2SSSS of chapter 29 of the General Laws to acute care hospitals in the form of enhanced Medicaid payments, supplemental payments or through other appropriate mechanisms; provided further, that such enhanced Medicaid payments shall not offset existing Medicaid payments for which an eligible hospital may be qualified to receive.
