Women’s Re-entry Services in Roxbury

Representatives Miranda of Boston and Tyler of Boston move to amend the bill in Section 2, in item 1599-2036, in line 217, by inserting after “emergency” the following: “provided further, that not less than $200,000 shall be expended to the New Beginnings Re-entry Services in order to reduce recidivism, provide support to formerly incarcerated women in Roxbury transitioning back into community, build networks, improve social skills and relationships, and help them recover from post-incarceration housing insecurity, addiction, and trauma”.
