State Health Plan Disparities

Mr. Diggs of Barnstable moves to amend the bill In section 7,  line 105, in subsection (3) by striking out the words “for underserved or underrepresented cultural, racial, ethnic and linguistic populations and people with disabilities” and inserting in place thereof the following:- “based on the needs of particular demographic factors, including, but not limited to, race, ethnicity, immigration status, sexual orientation, gender identity, geographic location, age, language spoken, ability and socioeconomic status;”;

and further in lines 110-111 by striking out “gender, race, ethnicity, geographic location, age and English as a second language” and inserting in place thereof the following:-“race, ethnicity, immigration status, sexual orientation, gender identity, geographic location, age, language spoken, ability and socioeconomic status.”
