Amendment 1

An Act authorizing the town of West Stockbridge to continue employment of Steven Traver.

Mr. Hinds moves to amend the bill in section 1, by striking out, in lines 6 and 7, the words “; provided further, that, if requested, Steven Traver shall" and inserting in place thereof the following words:- “. The town may require, at its own expense, that Steven Traver”; and

in said section 1, by striking out, in lines 8 to 11, inclusive, the words “; and, provided further, that deductions shall continue to be made from the regular compensation of Steven Traver pursuant to chapter 32 of the General Laws while Steven Traver is employed as chief of the fire department, in accordance with all applicable laws” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- “. No further deductions shall be made from the regular compensation of Steven Traver pursuant to chapter 32 of the General Laws for any service subsequent to the date on which he reaches the age of 65”.
