Mr. Diggs of Barnstable moves to amend the bill moves to amend the bill by adding the following section_“Section 48. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the superintendents of the Soldiers’ Home in Holyoke and Chelsea shall, at their discretion and approval, be permitted to accept donations from non-profit organizations to enhance the well-being and care of their patients. Donations may consist of operating supplies, clothing, medical equipment, personal hygiene products, and Holiday Gifts.”
