Amendment #1044 to H4700

Compensatory Services

Ms. Peisch of Wellesley moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:-

“SECTION XXXX. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, an approved special education school shall provide compensatory services to any student enrolled at the school who attains the age of 22 during the COVID-19 pandemic. These compensatory services shall be provided for a period of not less than 6 months following an affected student’s 22nd birthday and shall be consistent with the student’s individualized education plan and the contract between the approved special education school and the student’s sending district that was entered into prior to the student attaining the age of 22”.
