Tourism Trust Fund

Ms. Fiola of Fall River moves to amend the bill in section 2, in item 7008-0900, in lines 18 and 19, by inserting after the following words “post-pandemic;” the following: “provided further, that not less than $2,000,000 shall be transferred to the Massachusetts Tourism Trust Fund established under section 13T of chapter 23A of the General Laws, provided further, that notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, all funds transferred from this item to the Massachusetts Tourism Trust Fund shall be made available to regional tourism councils; provided further, that funds may be used for, but not limited to, the development and deployment of regional and cooperative campaigns to attract out-of-state visitors and help rebuild the hospitality industry in the commonwealth”.
