Amendment #1176 to H4700

Springfield Symphony Orchestra

Representatives Ashe of Longmeadow, Puppolo of Springfield, Sabadosa of Northampton, Oliveira of Ludlow and Williams of Springfield move to amend the bill in Section 2, in item 0640-0300, by adding the following “and provided further that not less than $150,000 be expended to the Springfield Symphony Orchestra for a Youth Symphony Orchestra scholarship program serving young musicians up to age 19 from low-moderate and below poverty families, provide instrument upgrades/purchases, technology upgrades to the box office infrastructure and marketing, and an upgrade to the Springfield Symphony Orchestra phone infrastructure system and downtown office” and to further amend said item by striking out the figures “$22,500,000“ and inserting in place thereof the figures “$22,650,000“.
