Amendment #1186 to H4700

Excess Revenue to UGGA

Representatives Jones of North Reading, Ferguson of Holden, Frost of Auburn, Gifford of Wareham, Barrows of Mansfield and Smola of Warren moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:-

"SECTION X. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the comptroller shall, during fiscal year 2023, but prior to the calculation of the fiscal year 2023 consolidated net surplus in accordance with Section 5C of Chapter 29 of the Massachusetts General Laws, transfer any funds received in excess of the consensus revenue estimate, pursuant to Section 5B of said Chapter 29, to item 1233-2350 of section 2, until said item has reached 7.3 per cent growth over fiscal year 2022."
