Amendment #1187 to H4700

Mental Health Association

Representatives Ashe of Longmeadow, Puppolo of Springfield, Oliveira of Ludlow and Williams of Springfield move to amend the bill in Section 2, in item 5046-0000, by adding the following “and provided further that not less than $80,000 be expended to the Mental Health Association to improve access to mental health and substance use services while expanding capacity to serve those in need.  Funding will allow access to mental health services for under and uninsured individuals of all ages, address lengthy waitlists through capacity development and pay for a new wheel-chair accessible van to transport individuals from the East Longmeadow and Longmeadow residential programs to activities and events” and to further amend said item by striking out the figures “$514,301,841“and inserting in place thereof the figures “$514,381,841“.
