School Transportation Pothole Account

Mr. Oliveira of Ludlow moves to amend the bill in section 2 by inserting after item 7060-7004 the following item: "7061-0011 For a reserve to meet extraordinary increases in the costs associated with the transportation of students provided directly by the school district; provided, that notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, assistance funded by this item shall only be available on a one time non-recurring basis; provided further, that the department shall make not less than 80 per cent of awards from this item not later than October 15, 2022; and provided further, that no funds distributed from this item to a municipality shall be considered base aid nor used in the calculation of the minimum required local contribution for fiscal year 2023....................................................................... $20,000,000”.
