Amendment #171 to H4700

Health insurance benefits on day one for all state employees

Mr. LeBoeuf of Worcester moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:

 

“SECTION XX. (a) Section 5 of chapter 32A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following paragraph:- Eligible employees who apply for coverage within 10 days of the first day of employment shall be insured effective the first day of employment.

 

(b) This shall take effect 365 days after passage of this act.”
