Amendment #397 to H4700

Tourism Grant Matching Funds Waiver

Ms. Blais of Sunderland moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:

 

SECTION XXXX.  Notwithstanding clause (3) of the fifth paragraph of section 14 of chapter 23A of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, in order to address disruptions caused by the 2019 novel coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, the maximum amount of grants received by a private nonprofit agency from the office of travel and tourism pursuant to said section 14 of said chapter 23A may be greater than the amount received from nongovernmental sources in fiscal year 2023.
