Amendment #524 to H4700

Pediatric Palliative Care

Mr. O'Day of West Boylston moves to amend the bill in Section 2 in item 4590-1503 by deleting the words: “provided further, that not less than $7,715,965 shall be expended for the pediatric palliative care program established in section 24K of chapter 111 of the General Laws” and inserting in place thereof the following: “provided further, that not less than $9,715,965 shall be expended for the pediatric palliative care program established in section 24K of chapter 111 of the General Laws, that notwithstanding section 24k of chapter111 of the General Laws, children less than twenty-two years of age shall be eligible for this program and that funds shall be allocated to address: workforce retention and recruitment; staffing levels; improved health outcomes through diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and family engagement”;  and in said line item by striking the figures “$8,308,556” and inserting in place thereof the figures: “$10,308,556”
