Amendment #53 to H4700

Private Well Drinking Water Safety Treatment Loans

Mr. Sena of Acton moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:

"Section XXXX. Section 2 of chapter 151 of the acts of 1996, as amended by section 54 of chapter 365 of the acts of 1996, is hereby amended by inserting after the word "called" the following words:, and to assist homeowners with treatment systems to ensure that drinking water from private wells meets primary standards for recommended concentration limits of contaminants as specified by guidelines or regulations developed by the department of environmental protection"
