Bolstering Statewide Social Emotional Education in Schools

Mr. Soter of Bellingham moves to amend the bill in section 2, in item 4513-2020, by inserting after the word "staff" the following words: - "provided further, that not less than $1,000,000 shall be transferred to the Department of Mental Health for a competitive grant program for the Commonwealth's public school districts to address social emotional health issues amongst students; provided further that grant funding may also be award to schools to educate parents and families on addressing mental health issues and bullying in the school system"
