DMH Continuing Care Beds

Ms. Decker of Cambridge moves to amend the bill in section 2, in item 5095-001, in line 25, by inserting after "Taunton" the following: "provided further, that the department shall provide no fewer than an additional 60 inpatient continuing care beds for patients waiting to be discharged from acute psychiatric facilities; provided further, that 30 of such beds shall be operated in current department of mental health facilities; provided further, that not less than 5 million dollars shall be allocated for an additional 30 of such beds in a private facility through a contract with an available provider"; and in said item by striking out the figures "$274,828,823" and inserting in place thereof the figures "$279,828,823".
