Amendment #891 to H4700

Nursing Home Workforce COVID-19 Supplemental Payment

Mr. Stanley of Waltham moves to amend the bill in section 2, in item 4000-0641, in line 10, by inserting after "1996" the following:

"provided further that effective July 1, 2022, as authorized in the executive office of health and human services’ Administrative Bulletin 22-02, the agency shall retain the supplemental payment methodology effective January 15, 2022 to provide a Medicaid supplemental payment to nursing homes under 101 CMR 206.00: Standard Payments to Nursing Facilities to offset increased costs of providing care not accounted for in the nursing facility’s prospective payment system rates during the COVID-19 pandemic.  The aggregate amount of funding available for these payments shall be $120,000,000.  Payments shall be distributed to nursing facilities based on their proportion of the total Medicaid Days reported by all nursing facility providers and used to pay for direct-care staffing costs"; and in said item by striking out the figures "$395,400,00" and inserting in place thereof the figures "$515,400,000".
