Amendment #974 to H4700

Pension Calculations for Certain Retirees

Mr. Gordon of Bedford moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:-

SECTION XX. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the retirement allowance of any member who retired prior to the effective date of this Act which included in the calculation of such allowance supplemental payments of any kind upon which retirement contributions were made, which were received while the member was simultaneously receiving payments pursuant to the provisions of chapter 152 of the general laws, shall not be reduced, modified or changed because of the inclusion of such payments.
