Amendment #12 to H4790

State-Owned Skating Rink Compliance

Mr. Walsh of Peabody moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:

"Section XXX

The Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance shall conduct a survey and study on the compliance of state-owned skating rinks with Title IX of the federal Education Amendments of 1972.  The promulgated report thereof shall entail but not be limited to the following:

skating rink facilities and locations;

the status of individual skating rink conformity to Title IX standards;

required building and grounds modifications needed to ensure compliance with Title IX;

cost estimates of renovations to ensure skating rink compliance with Title IX.

This report shall be completed on or before December 31, 2022, and filed with the Commissioner of the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance, the Commissioner of the Department of Conservation and Recreation, the Clerk of the House of Representatives, the Clerk of the Senate, the House and Senate Chairs of the Joint Committee of State Administration and Regulatory Oversight, the House Committee on Ways and Means and the Senate Committee on Ways and Means."
