Amendment #20 to H4791

Security Requirements for Cannabis Licensees

Ms. Sabadosa of Northampton moves to amend the bill, as amended, by adding the following section:

SECTION XXXX:

Section 1: Section 4(a-½)(xviii) of chapter 94G of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 Official Edition, is hereby amended, by adding to subsection (xviii) after the word “greenhouses” the following text:

“provided that the Commission's security requirements for licensees shall be no more restrictive or burdensome than, and similar to the security requirements for, licensure of alcoholic beverage manufacture and retail sale as regulated under chapter 138 of the General Laws;”

Section 2: The Commission shall review its regulations for compliance with this amendment – including but not limited to 935 CMR sec. 500.110-500.141, and sec. 501.110-500.140 – and propose appropriate changes, within one year of this amendment's enactment.
