Amendment #12 to H4879

Expansion of School-Based Health Centers Program (SBHC)

Ms. Doherty of Taunton moves to amend the bill by inserting after Section 34 the following Section:

“SECTION 35A. The Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) shall expand the number of School-Based Health Center sites by supporting the advancement and growth of the School-Based Health Centers Program (SBHC). Such programs must include a plan for the integration of primary care and behavioral health and be co-located within school settings to further reduce barriers for students and youth toward optimal health outcomes and mental health engagement.”
