MBTA Bus Service Elimination Appeal Process

Ms. Kerans of Danvers moves to amend the bill in section 2D, in item 6621-2208, in line 115, by inserting after the words "Better Bus Project," the following: "provided that, for every planned or unplanned bus route service elimination (including the elimination of a bus stop), the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority shall hold a mandatory, thirty-day appeal process during which the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority must confer with city or town planning officials to explore alternatives".
