EITC Eligibility

Ms. Gouveia of Acton moves to amend the bill by adding the following section: "Section XX. Section 6 of chapter 62 is hereby amended by adding the following paragraph to subsection (h): - (3) For the purposes of this subsection, a taxpayer shall satisfy the qualification requirements for the credit under section 32 of the Code if the taxpayer meets all basic requirements related to factors other than age or social security number status and falls into one of the following categories: (i) between the ages of 18 and 24; (ii) over the age of 65; (iii) filing for a household in which any member of the household uses an Income Tax Identification Number (ITIN)."
