Smart Growth Design Grants for Kings Highway Station

Representatives Markey of Dartmouth, Hendricks of New Bedford, Schmid of Westport and Straus of Mattapoisett move to amend the bill in section 3B, in item 7004-8026, in line 570, by inserting after the word “Laws” the words “provided that no less than $2,500,000 be made available in grant funding with a public engagement process which requires two public hearings and web viewing and participation for a smart growth design surrounding the Kings Highway Station of South Coast Rail that promotes the environmentally sound and carbon neutral development of residential, commercial, and retail properties”.
