Ms. Edwards moves to amend the bill in section 1, by striking out, in line 21, the words “the 10th day after the next regular city election” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- “the election results are certified and the elected successor is qualified”; and

in said section 1, by striking out, in line 25, the words “11th day after the election” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- “on the day following the date on which the election results are certified and the person elected to the vacancy is qualified”.
