Floor Amendment

Ms. Garlick of Needham moves to amend the bill by striking out section 4 and inserting in place thereof the following section:-

“SECTION 4. Section 1 of chapter 7 of said charter is hereby amended by striking out subsection (a) and inserting in place thereof the following subsection:-

a. The Chief of Police shall be a resident of Provincetown or Truro. The Director of Public Works shall reside within 45 driving miles of the Town of Provincetown. The Chief of Police and the Director of Public Works shall meet the requirements of this section within six months of assuming office.”.
