Floor Amendment

Ms. Garlick of Needham moves to amend the bill in line 2 by striking out the words “Office of Medicaid” and inserting in place thereof the words “executive office of health and human services”;

in line 3 by striking out the words “Office of Medicaid”, each time they appear, and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the word “office”;

and by inserting before the enacting clause the following emergency preamble:

“Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to establish forthwith a sick leave bank for a certain employee of the office of Medicaid, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.” .
