Reducing the Heat Island Effect

Ms. Creem, Mr. Pacheco and Ms. Chang-Diaz move that the proposed new text be amended by inserting at the end thereof the following new section:-

SECTION __. Item 6622-2187 of said section 2B of said chapter 383 is hereby further amended by inserting after the words “signage” and “way” the following:- “, trees and vegetation that provide shade or otherwise reduce the heat island effect"
