Ensuring Language and Literacy Accessibility 

Ms. Chandler moves that the proposed new draft be amended by inserting into section 7 the following section:- 

Section 34A (b) (v) The state secretary shall implement a process to reasonably accommodate an individual who has limited English proficiency, limited literacy proficiency, no literacy proficiency, or speaks a minority language in complying with subsection (iv). Such a process shall provide, but is not limited to, oral instructions, assistance, or other information relating to registration and voting.

And that the proposed new text be amended by inserting into section 11 the following section:- 

Section 25B (a) (7) after line 204, The state secretary shall implement a process to reasonably accommodate an individual who has limited English proficiency, limited literacy proficiency, no literacy proficiency, or speaks a minority language. Such a process shall provide, but is not limited to, oral instructions, assistance, or other information relating to registration and voting.
