Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Supports

Ms. DiZoglio, Ms. Gobi, Messrs. O'Connor, Eldridge and Timilty move that the proposed new text be amended in section 2A, in item 1599-2026, by adding at the end the following: “provided further, that not less than $750,000 shall be expended to support families of children with serious mental health needs; provided further, that not less than $1,000,000 shall be allocated to the Massachusetts Association for Mental Health, Inc. and the BIRCh Center to to launch a school based behavioral health technical assistance center; provided further, that $1,500,000 shall be expended for implementation assistance grants to community behavioral health provider organizations to advance adoption of pediatric behavioral health urgent care programs; provided further, that funds shall be expended to support innovation to address emergency department boarding and create better systems for supporting children and adolescents in crisis, priority focus shall be placed on services for children with complex needs including DCF and DYS involved children and children with co-occurring autism spectrum disorders and intellectual disabilities and other youth who have been disproportionately impacted by the pandemic”; and by striking out the figure “$400,000,000" and inserting in place thereof the figure “$403,250,000”.
