Relative to Recovery Homes

Messrs. Collins and O'Connor move that the proposed new draft be amended by inserting after section xxx the following:-

"SECTION XXXX.  Notwithstanding any special or general law to the contrary, any proposal for a recovery home or 'sober home' shall be subject to a public hearing. Said public hearings shall be publicly noticed, including but not limited to direct notification of abutters within 200 feet, not less than 45 days before the date of the hearing and administered by the Department of Public Health."
