Prohibiting discrimination

Ms. Chandler moves that the proposed new text be amended in Section 5, by inserting at the end of the second paragraph:- “it will be illegal to discriminate against a person because they applied for, were denied, were issued, hold, or present the drivers’ license in this section. Provided further that it shall be illegal to use the drivers’ licenses as a basis for a criminal investigation into immigration status, and arrest, or detention as a result of an investigation”.
