Alternative Mobility Trips

Mr. Keenan moves that the proposed new text be amended by striking Section 12 in its entirety and replacing it with the following section:-

"SECTION 12. Section 46 of chapter 161A of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by adding the following paragraph:-

The authority shall provide adequate mobility or parking alternatives to commuters during any demolition or reconstruction of a parking lot or parking garage owned or operated by the authority. The authority shall consider: (i) the number of parking spaces affected by the project; (ii) the average number of weekday commuters utilizing the parking facility, using levels from 2019, to determine how many alternative parking spaces shall be required; (iii) the number of buses or shuttles provided by the authority needed to meet commuter demand; and (iv) the relative costs and emissions anticipated by providing bus or shuttles and alternative parking spaces."
