Amendment 17

Including Miscarriages in Covered Services

Mr. Keenan, Ms. Gobi and Messrs. Gomez and Feeney move that the proposed new text be amended by inserting the following new sections:-

SECTION XX. Section 2 of chapter 32A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word "meanings:-", in line 2, the following definition:- "(a) "Abortion-related care", reproductive health care services, as defined in section 1 of chapter 9A."

SECTION XX. Section 8 of chapter 118E of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word "meanings:-", in line 3, the following definition:- "(a) "Abortion-related care", reproductive health care services, as defined in section 1 of chapter 9A."

SECTION XX. Section 1 of chapter 175 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word "meanings:-", in line 3, the following definition:- "(a) "Abortion-related care", reproductive health care services, as defined in section 1 of chapter 9A."

SECTION XX. Section 1 of chapter 176B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word "meanings:-", in line 2, the following definition:- "(a) "Abortion-related care", reproductive health care services, as defined in section 1 of chapter 9A."

SECTION XX. Section 1 of chapter 176G of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word "meanings:-", in line 2, the following definition:- "(a) "Abortion-related care", reproductive health care services, as defined in section 1 of chapter 9A."; and

In section 20, by inserting after the word "care", in line 324, the following words:- ", as defined in section 1 of chapter 9A".
