Pollinator Hive Loss Prevention and Stewardship

Messrs. Tarr, O'Connor and Fattman moved that the proposed new text be amended in section 2, in item 2511-0100, by inserting at the end thereof the following: “provided further, that not less than $100,000 shall be expended by the University of Massachusetts Extension program to conduct apiary research and education relative to pollinator mortality, as well as to provide general support and make recommendations on preventing hive loss to the apiary inspection program, county beekeeping associations and statewide pollinator stewardship efforts.”; and by striking out the figures “$8,626,467 ” and inserting in place thereof the figure “$8,726,467”.
