Mel King Institute

Ms. Edwards moves that the proposed new text be amended in section 2A, in item 1599-6087, by adding the following words:- “; provided further, that not less than $100,000 be expended to the Mel King Institute for Community Building to provide online training and digital learning courses in affordable housing financing, small business development, and other entrepreneurial and economic development and management topics to state-certified Community Development Corporation board members and professionals, Housing Authority boards, affordable housing resident leaders, and other community-based groups, especially in underinvested majority BIPOC communities across Massachusetts.”; and by striking out the figure “$9,400,000” and inserting in place thereof the following figure: - “$9,500,000”.
